Juarez has a new owner, Alejandra de la Vega, who has purchased the Lobos BUAP franchise to bring it to the border. De la Vega is a woman with a long experience in football, as she was president of Cobras de Ciudad Juárez between 1988 and 1992. Now, as owner of Juarez, she has a plan to take the team to the top of Liga MX. De la Vega is from Chihuahua and currently serves in the state government as Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development. She was the one who led a team that fought for two consecutive years for promotion to the top division. De la Vega, a graduate of Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM Campus Monterrey, was a key player in the negotiation with the Lobos BUAP board to reach an agreement and transfer the new First Division franchise. Her experience as a director of Bravos de Ciudad Juárez, which was founded in 2015 with several entrepreneurs to bring football back to the border after the disappearance of Indios de Ciudad Juárez, will be vital in the new project. De la Vega puts her name alongside other women who have owned teams in other leagues, such as Georgia Frontiere, owner of the Rams, who moved from Los Angeles to San Luis. Now it's De La Vega's turn to start a First Division project in a world that won't be unfamiliar to her experience and academic credentials. The new owner of Juarez has a plan to take the team to the top of Liga MX and is ready to start this new project. With her experience and credentials, De la Vega is the right person to bring Juarez to success. De la Vega will rely on her studies at the Panamerican Institute for High Business Management (IPADE) in Mexico City to support her business decisions.
